About CKM

Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) health is a major determinant of premature morbidity and mortality. Developing comprehensive strategies to improve CKM health is a key clinical and public health priority.

The Kidney Disease Research Group (KDRG) is a multi-specialty research team comprising cardiologists, endocrinologists, and nephrologists from multiple centers. The American Heart Association (AHA) and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) have endorsed the CKM issue and developed specific guidelines to combat the problem.

KDRG, after consultation with core specialists, formed the CKM-KDRG Forum.
